GET THE FACTS

Friends,

Watch a recording of the conversation on the Campaign GETVACCINEANSWERS.ORG on Youtube or on Facebook sponsored by the AdCouncil

And now we have some exciting news to share! We’ve partnered with the Ad Council and COVID Collaborative on their COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative, which has officially launched!

The campaign urges audiences to visit GetVaccineAnswers.org (DeTiDepende.org en Espanol) to get the latest information about COVID-19 vaccines, with the ultimate goal of helping the public feel confident and prepared to get vaccinated once a vaccine is available to them and their families. Created in close partnership with the CDC and other medical experts (thereby ensuring all messaging is rigorously vetted and backed by science), the PSAs in English and Spanish will appear nationwide across broadcast TV, digital, radio and social media beginning this week.

In collaboration with Values Partnerships, the initiative has also developed a comprehensive strategy to engage the faith community, establishing an extraordinary National Faith Steering Committee to inform our efforts, participate in campaign events and help disseminate educational resources.

The Ad Council’s COVID-19 Vaccine Education Initiative - National Faith Steering Committee includes major national faith-based organizations and over 20 highly influential faith leaders across the Hispanic and Black faith communities, including the National Latino Evangelical Coalition, the National Association of Evangelicals, Rev. Dr. Gabriel & Rev. Jeanette Salguero, Rev. Enid Almanzar, Bishop T. D. Jakes, Dr. Barbara Williams-Skinner, Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III, Pastor John K. Jenkins, Rev. Traci Blackmon, Rev. Dr. Walter Kim, Rev. Dr. Victor Aloyo, Jr., and more. You can find a full list of the Committee members here.

You can hear some of the National Faith Steering Committee’s faith leaders in these videos here and here talking about why it’s important for congregants to get the facts so they can make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

With the support of faith leaders nationally, we hope to share this life-saving information with the faith community across the country! We know that Hispanic and Black communities have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, and we want to ensure that people of color of faith have access to accurate and clear information about vaccinations.

To help share important information about the COVID-19 vaccines, we welcome all faith leaders to visit our Hispanic Faith Community Toolkit and in Spanish. Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions, Bible and Sermon guides, shareable social media graphics, and other downloadable resources for your congregants or networks (in both English and Spanish). You can also find a guide on how to host your own virtual education event on COVID-19 vaccine education for your congregation or members. (Please note we also have a Black Faith Toolkit as well.)

For our friends that are not faith leaders, you are still critically important to this campaign. We encourage you to share the faith toolkits with your pastors, and invite you to visit our Hispanic Community Toolkit (English) or Black Community Toolkit. Our campaign website www.getvaccineanswers.org (in Spanish at www.detidepende.org) is also a resource where you can find factual and CDC-vetted information about the COVID-19 vaccine.

Please email us at healthyandwhole@valuespartnerships.com if you have any questions or want to get involved in this critically important effort.

Thank you for all you do to support and comfort our communities during these challenging times. Please join us in sharing COVID-19 vaccine information that we believe will save lives!
